Relationships
I always hear the frustrations that girls have about guys and guys have about girls. I get it. You want someone to complement you. Someone you can give your all to. Makes you feel special and someone who gives you support. I believe the problem is that the idea of relationships have changed. Everything is so fast that people try to fast forward bonds that can take a lifetime to generate. People dating each other for less than a month and are saying I love you and this is my babe forever.
First off….stop quoting Frank Ocean.
Marriage isn’t between man and woman but between love and love
Let’s go back to making more realistically imageries. Using idealistic song verses and movies that are pure nonsensical is why the generation today is so disappointed with dating. Stop making pedestals in a relationship (labeling her a queen or labeling him a king). One person isn’t spoiling another person. You are a team. You are spoiling each other. Girls like to be treated great but guys do well. This isn’t you get and get and get without giving. The me first attitude is why you are depressed. You are only looking from your viewpoint. To get something great, you got to give something great. You get what you give off really.
There are going to be times you love each other. Other times you hate each other. Some that you can’t leave without on another. And lastly, moments you truly can’t stand each other. Relationships aren’t perfect. We have to stop thinking they will.
You will not replicate a song verse. Nor your favorite scene from a movie. Instead of speeding through life, let’s slow down. Chill. Sit down and analyze what you want. Go for it.
Most of you are single not because you aren’t meant to be loved or wanted. You just don’t put in effort to get something in return. Getting frustrated easily when you attempt to search for your other half. Remember the saying that if is was easy it wouldn’t be worth it.
So bare the pain. Bare the annoying nights and bothersome mornings. Keep thriving to be a better person and never give up.
And please….PLEASE. Stop making songs the only source of what you think a relationship should be…
